At 4 months, this baby is quite the little heart breaker! I can't say no to him. He's cooing and smiling and loves to try new foods... although bananas and watermelon are the only things on his menu. I love babysitting!
I come home, and my mother pulls me over to the laptop. She's managed to pull up the LV website and has managed to do quite a bit of shopping. She has four bags in her shopping cart, and she's trying to figure out how to check them out. One bag is 490, the other is 800, and so on.
"It's so cheap! I want to buy four of them!" My mom is so happy.
I look at the total, $2300 for 4 LV bags seemed like a great deal. Let's make that 5!
Until I realize that the prices are in GB £s.
Yeah... that's about $4600.00 (excluding VAT)
No LV bags for this household.
Please help out my friend and vote for her portfolio:
You can be the dimmest bulb in the pack, as long as you're the only light in the room.
We hopped over to Pompeii to check out the ruins. All I gotta say was that it was hot. We got to Pompeii at about noon, and the sun was beating. We were going around and hiding in the shades of columns whenever we could.Unfortunately the blaring heat took away from the experience. We had a great time though. It is pretty amazing how much has been preserved.
After the tour, we hopped on the Circumvesuvius train to Sorrento. Spent the night in Sorrento and then off to Capri. We made it back to Naples. Tomorrow we're going to head off to Rome. Yay...
Waiting for some authentic the birthplace of Pizza - Napoli!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JC!!!!
Chocolate - Pistachi icecream, birthday tree with sparkles, colored candles, chocolate raspberry cookies and catching the most amazing sunset in Fira. Happy 30th birthday.
Greece is one of my favorite places. I highly recommend as a vacation and honeymoon spot!
We started off flying from London on Tuesday and landed in Athens on Tuesday night. We rested up and hopped on a city tour at 7:00am the next morning. Slightly jet lagged, but looking forward to sitting on a bus. We saw Zeus's temple, the Acropolis and walked around Plaka. The next day we headed off to Nafplio in the Peloponnese. The town was out of a picture book, and the castle was so much fun to play in. It would have been awesome to get a paintball game going!
We then left to head back to Athens, and then wait for our flight to Santorini. We landed on the island at 7:00am, and made our way to the hotel, and slept by the pool for a few hours until our ATV's were ready. At 9:00am, armed with our vehicle, we headed off to Perissa, to check out the black sand beaches. So pretty. Reminded us of Hawaii, but the views were stunning. After the beach we went to Kamari, a beach town. As the sun was setting, we were off to Fira for the famous sunsets. Our 50cc ATV had a hard time making it up the winding hills. At times, JC had to dismount while I took the ATV up. He was still wearing his spaceballz helmet. we made it there, and it was totally worth it!
The next day we went to the highest point of Santorini, and took in the amazing view. We also went to the caldera - underwater volcano that is extinct. We swam to the hot springs and then to Thirassa. Then to Oia to catch another sunset.
We haven't been able to upload pics yet... so here are some stolen from the net:
Athens to Corinth to Nafplio... We're leaving to go hiking to a really cool fortress built on a hilltop. We are surrounded by amazing blue water. Can't wait to post pictures! Then one day in Athens and off to Santorini. Greece is definitely one of my top vacation spots!
I like London, as a place to live. There are a lot of little neighborhoods that have a unique but distinctly British feel. This place felt a little too much like home. I really think that London is more fashion forward than NY, since there is so much continental diversity. I didn't go outside of london to the quaint little towns that everyone recommended. Spent a day in Windsor, and did some shopping. All and all, I think it's ready to leave.
Leaving London, and off to Athens. I wonder how long the novelty of recognizing the Greek alphabet will last? It's a throwback to the days when I was newly greek and was so happy at being able to recognize letters on people's sweats!
So, I've been in London for almost two weeks, and decided to get a check up. I was seen by a doctor after filling out some basic paperwork. I also had some bloodwork and tests done. Bravo.
No bill.
Free.
Like healthcare should be.
